As a Texas fan, the whole drama that's unfolded over the last few decades - SWC to Big12 and then the exits and new entrants to the Big 12, to me the only thing that matters is that OU and Texas stay together. OSU and Tech tagging along would be a good boost as well and the four would clearly boost the rep of the Pac in the three major men's sports. Those four and the southern CA and AZ schools would be a pretty big power 8 group - which to me would make it feel like Cal and Stanford wouldn't benefit by the move -- at least within the conference.
Ultimately, just as to me the four CA schools continuing to play each other is part of life, I would love to see the OK schools and Texas somehow start playing Ark and LSU regularly. That would be a lot of fun.
