That was an epic fold in US Open by the leader, Thompson . . . but that's also golf, particularly in that tourney.

I actually was impressed how Thompson kept her composure as the lug bolts loosened and the wheels completely came off on the back 9, and she putted poorly on 17 and 18.  But this one is going to haunt her for a loooooooong time.

Ganne, otoh, holed a par putt on 18 to earn low amateur.  Nicely done.  Great talent; great smile.

Lexi Thompson hits her drives about a mile and a half. Unfortunately, on the back nine, she hit a few wedges about a foot and a half... :-0
