Tyler Gaffney enjoyed a nice, seven-year run in the NFL. Not bad at all. We could use one like him right now.

He has two Super Bowl rings without ever being on the active roster for an NFL regular season or playoff game I believe.

He appeared in one regular season game in 2016: https://www.nfl.com/players/tyler-gaffne...logs/2016/

Patriots.com (below) said that he was activated for that game but not included in the 45, and he has no statistics so I'm inclined to believe that he wasn't on the game day roster although it's certainly possible. Not a material difference either way if he didn't play.

Last year, was released by the Patriots on the final cut-down on Sept. 3, 2016, and signed to the practice squad on Oct. 17, 2016, then added to the 53-man roster on Oct. 29.  Gaffney was inactive for the Buffalo game on Oct. 30 and released by the Patriots from the 53-man roster on Nov. 10, 2016 before re-joining the Patriots practice squad on Nov. 12.
