Kamari Ramsey chose Stanford over all of the top-tier Pac-12 programs plus Ohio State, Notre Dame, Texas, Michigan and others. For those who are interested, there's a free article at 247sports.com here. Lots of good stuff, but I was especially interested in the following quote from Ramsey:
I have no idea which recruits KR has in mind, but I hope they play defense.
I know that we've had commits-turned-recruiters in the past--KJ Costello comes to mind--but I was trying to think of names on the defensive side. Shayne Skov? Others?

If there's one thing people have learned in Berkeley, it's that you can't put "Cal football" and "Rose Bowl" in the same sentence. The words just don't fit. You'd be better off linking "covered wagons" with "Mars travel." (Bruce Jenkins, Cal '70, SF Chronicle, Nov. 11, 2017)
