Yvonne, you have let that Track & Field News subscription slip. TAMU, coached by Pat Henry, won the NCAA Men's AND Women's Outdoor National Championships in 2009, 2010, and 2011 after winning just the Men's title in 2008.
Pat Henry won 3 men's championships and 13 women's championships @ LSU before moving to TAMU. The core of his program has been sprints/hurdles/jumps and the 400m & 1600m relays. Currently LSU,Florida, & Fl State follow that format for the most part, supplemented with some field and distance scoring. Arkansas and TN tend to be more multidimensional. In their best years USC and UCLA are sprint based though they have also had some good history in field events.
