2-5 and LA in 1st by this weekend.

Bottom of the 8th yesterday, Flores drew a 1-out walk to bring the tying run to the plate but Posey K-looking and Belt lined out. At one point in that inning the Brewer reliever threw 7 or 8 straight changeups (!), then blew 97 past Buster for the K.

Back end of Brewers pen is tremendous.  Add Burnes, Woodruff and when healthy, Peralta, and that is a team that has a real shot at going far. Especially if Yelich gets hot. 

Buster in a slump,  something like 6-50.  Neds to pick it up in Sept.

Big night for Gausman tonight.  Time to pitch like a No1. They need him

Giants also need to hit and score more.  Last 3 games:  0, 1, and 2 runs.  They are not hitting situationally (no surprise - been that way all season); nor are they hitting big/clutch (this a departure from season norm).  Know it's only 3 games, but the next 5 are crucial, against excellent teams.

P.S.  Yaz also not hitting for much of an average (but has popped some dingers); Dickerson (and others) not having a good year, either.  Team "feels" at a fragile point right now.  Figure Farhan will make moves to give team best chance.  We'll see.
