This is also my suspicion. Shaw is giving West the nod because he has started a couple of games already. Further, I suspect Shaw will run and run the ball in the early stages, so if our O-Line isn't opening holes for Jones and Peat, we will find ourselves with maybe a FG to our credit by mid 2nd quarter. Of course, the O-Line appears to be one of the better units on the team, so maybe the run-heavy offense at the beginning of the game will work, and Shaw can start opening the playbook up after a couple of scores when K-State starts selling out to stop the run. This would be great, but I just don't believe it will happen. My prediction is we rally too late and lose this one. And I also predicted West would start (50-50 bet, but I just knew Shaw would not throw McKee into the breach of the first game). Maybe West has improved, and I will be eating crow by the end of the game. I would be fine with that, but I am not betting the farm on it.
