I think the Belt Wars are over.  The “Captain” has led his troops to an unconditional victory……

It is time to sign him to an extension.

Especially if he ends up with 30 home runs this year.

Giants' 2022 salary (assuming they exercise club options on Posey, Flores, and Alavarez and let Cueto go) is currently at $57,915,300 and covers Posey, Crawford, Longoria, Flores, Alvarez, La Stella, and McGee.  They have a little over $134 million in cap space to sign all of their starters and relievers outside of McGee, and all of their other starters and role players.  Feel pretty good about it, I do.

After tonight's scary victory and last night's tortuous victory, coupled with a Superbas loss, the Giants have a two game lead with seven to play. Suck it, Bridegrooms...
