The trumpeter used to get the stadium dead quiet while he played. He also had to practice a lot to be able to fill the acoustically larger old stadium. You had to be good to do it, and every mistake would be obvious. Now, it might as well be a recording. It also makes me dizzy when the band is in front of me and the sound is behind me. This is a joke. Either play it as it was designed or don't play the arrangement at all. On a similar note, the band is just pathetically small. It is almost too small to be viable. Granted, lots of freshman that may join the band haven't yet had the chance, but right now it is way too few.

No mic or don't do it. And with about 20 band members kneeling, I'd just as well have a recording played.
