I think you need to stay home OP.

Are you crazy?  And miss all the fun?!?  ;)  Family chaos is no reason to miss Thanksgiving dinner after all.  

I was having a booster-weary weekend and just toughing it out in the stadium.  52 seasons and counting, so a little vaccine hangover wasn't about to stop me.   Things that normally just bug me -- like everything I listed above -- were really getting to me though.  Apologies if I came across a wee tiny bit negative. :) 

RE the PA system, I think part of the issue is that we sit in a hadicap row on the main mezzanine (and the row directly in front of that).  The speakers are directly overhead and the acoustics intensify it.  20 rows down, I'm sure its tolerable. But where we sit, it's simply too loud to be safe.  Louder than a rock concert and loud enough to cause physical pain from time to time.  Truly inexcusable for a University otherwise on the forefront of advancing human health, in my opinion.
