USC is got to be in the running. Maybe Cal as well. Not sure expectations were that high, but they are 1-5 now. And of course, I think we may be headed towards a disappointing season for many. I was thinking 5-7 preseason, which we have a good chance of, but 4-8 is not out of the question.

I was thinking 6-6, maybe a little better if everything fell into place. Now that looks like a bit of a wet dream. Utah and ND look highly doubtful, but maybe we win one or two of the other three.
Also, if misery loves company in terms have having regressed in the last few years, we have it in Washington, who made the CFP in 2016. The Seattle paper is concluding, well, maybe the cold hard truth in the matter is that we just aren't very good. Maybe we should call our next game with Washington the has-been bowl.
