Returning to the topic of current WBB recruiting, I'm amazed (and puzzled, at the same time) at how Prospect Nation seem to be ahead of the others in knowing and publishing the commitments of top recruits.
First, we have the case of Talana LEPOLO, who they already proclaimed as a Stanford commit almost 4 weeks ago. Even ESPN, our primary source here, has yet to update their 2022 list about this.
Then now, I see that a week ago, they already published that #13 overall 6'3 PF/C Ashlyn WATKINS has committed to South Carolina (which was to be expected, anyway, as she lives near the South Carolina campus). Even the South Carolina WBB discussion forum has yet to confirm this, although some of them think that she is a silent commit.
And while Lauren BETTS is and has been the concensus #1 overall recruit from the Class of 2022 for all the other WBB recruiting services (ESPN, ASGR, Blue Star, etc) for some time now, Prospect Nation still lists her as a 4.5 star recruit, meaning she's not even a Top 10 recruit. What's up with that, Chris Hansen?
