The difference in this game is that we didn't have a Costello, Mills or McKee to come out slinging and try to jump-start an insipid offense.  Couple that with a sieve of a defense, and you have the disaster that unfolded.

I agree that not having a QB who could come out slinging was the difference. However, I don't agree that that would "jump start an insipid offense". That slinging would BE the offense. Shaw has desperately attempted to maintain some balance on offense and not completely abandon the run. However, even with that attempt at balance our run game struggles to reach 100 yards even in games we have won.
