Amen! These numbers also show Shaw is perfectly happy to run when he has the backs and OL to do it. Since 2017 he hasn't had that. There is exactly the problem. CMac actually covered up the problem for two years because he was so good he could turn a crease into yardage reliably. Love couldn't really do that as well and the line was still on a downward slope when he took over from CMac. The 2016 Colorado game was a view of the future. By then the running game was on borrowed time. Even a great back like Love couldn't preserve it.
