I don’t know why/how any Stanford fan who isn’t personally connected to the players watched the game today. Predictably losing by three TDs to a mediocre team is just not fun or worth hours of my time. Loyalty is not watching this, but demanding better.

It's bad enough that I have to watch our team stink up the football field.  Then, at my watch party (this game thread) I have to read post after post about how bad we are and how our coach is an idiot and needs to be fired along with the AD.  But now, apparently,  to be a loyal fan I shouldn't watch my team at all?  I should just complain until they get better again?  

I've got a better idea for true fans of Stanford football.  If your only purpose to post in a game thread is to complain about the team and the coaches, then don't post on the game thread.  Start your own thread and all the complainers can join you there.

Capital idea! I'm in. You can bet that an informed, critical thread will offer far better analytical content than anything mandating the waving of pom-poms and pennants -- at the expense of information. May you and yours enjoy your "safe place".

Darn Shaw, seems to be mysteriously incapable of beating an opponent more than 11 times in a row.  What a bum.

Elizabeth Holmes started out strong too.

With losses piling up in the wake of confounding decision-making on and off the field, Shaw further substantiates perceptions that the first half of his career as HC was more the legacy of Harbaugh than crafted by his own hand. He (Shaw) rode the slip-stream of EUTM to the heights --only to descend to his own level today. Hard to watch.
