See, that's exactly why The Play doesn't bug me. Every time it gets trotted out, it reminds me that Cal Football has nothing better to celebrate from the last 39 years.
Exactly. Remember when they gave out bobbleheads for it at Big Game a few years back? It was them admitting they had no other accomplishments worth mentioning at any time in the preceding 30+ years.
The kid looked at this odd bobble head thing and thought I was joking, but his Dad had to confirm that my gift was legit and from Cal.
FWIW - I know, I just know, Stanford Stadium will have a replay of the blocked try at the end of last year's game. I hate that we have this nostalgia thing as a promotion in Stanford Stadium, and can only hope that Cal won't have a big lead by the time that promo is revealed.
