He's 4-8, 4-2, likely 3-9 this season.
Is he just going through the motions?
How long can he avoid looking in the mirror?
If Kal drills us 31 to 10 tomorrow, then what does Shaw say, "We had trouble executing?"
Maybe Muir tolerates another 4 win season in 2022, but if Shaw takes $8M+ in 2022 for just 4 or 5 wins, then there is nowhere to go. He's done.
It looks like he is just clipping coupons.
Go do the speaking tour at college dinners.
Head to the TV studio like Chris Petersen.
Back on Nov 28, 1994 the late great Bill Walsh stepped down ending his second stint, after losing Big Game and finishing 3-7-1.

He wins tomorrow and Bernie gives him a two-year extension. He wins the following week and he's Head Coach For Life. You think I'm kidding?
He already is head coach for life (at least, the life of Stanford football). You think I'm kidding?
He's not going to survive continued 4-8, 3-9 type seasons. He will survive a couple more of them if he chooses to.
As far as this year's Big Game is concerned I think if McKee plays it will be a close one. Unfortunately based on our performances against Wazzu and Washington, I'm not optimistic about our ability to win the close ones.
