It is only scandal(s) that would convince any Power 5-ish school to willingly give up those sweet TV dollars.
Perhaps CFB teams could become “school affiliated” to drop the student requirement, but operate as tax-exempt entities benefiting the university at large? I’m sure there are some people somewhere who have explored that concept.
