I think there are plenty of reasons that Muir was not a good hire, but when he has made good decisions, even if it was on the advice of others, he should get credit for it.

I agree, but he doesn't deserve the same level of credit for that kind of hire as for someone he hires where he leads the search. And in no way does a half-dozen good hiring decisions overcome the litany of other issues outlined earlier in this thread.

My principal argument to Howard on why Bernie has to go is that a lot of damage has been done to the relationship between the Athletic Department and its donor base, and he can't repair the damage because he caused a lot of it and he's no longer trusted.
