If what he said about Bueckers is true, that she pesters him on the bench for more playing time (seems like a thing that is maybe not true but he has said it before so I don't know), that doesn't speak well of her. I mean what about your teammates who want to get into a game? She already plays big minutes, don't be a hog. I tend to believe Geno is just yacking and she is not sitting on the bench asking him to put her in more. I sure hope not, anyway. I hope her injury is minor and she is back quickly.
Irregardless of who is to blame for BUECKER's freak accidental injury, she will most likely miss 2 - 4 weeks minimum if her injury is just a hyperextended knee.
Which means she will miss the remainder of UConn's OOC schedule which includes #30 Georgia Tech (which just handed #21 Georgia its first loss of the season) on the road, #31 UCLA at a neutral site, and at home vs. #7 Louisville. UConn is capable of winning all of those games without her, but they can also lose all of those games.
Beyond that, UConn is just fortunate that they belong to a weak conference, so even without BUECKERS, they can probably waltz through the Big East conference unblemished. Because, come on, they still have 2 former #1 overall recruits in Chistyn WILLIAMS (2018) and Azzi FUDD (2021), a former #2 overall recruit in Evina WESTBROOK (2017), and two former #5 overall recruits in Olivia NELSON-ODODA (2018) and Caroline DUCHARME (2021)
