Geez, if you feel strongly about it, then start another thread. Call it the UConn WBB thread, or the Other WBB teams thread, or The Thread to Complain about Off-Topic Comments thread.
I see 12 comments on this page that don't have anything to do directly with the Pacific game. That's the nature of message boards. It's also likely to occur if a thread is started about a specific game four days before the game.
