Back to the OP, I think this is a great idea. Smart to pool knowledge, connections, resources, and most of all: buy in from stakeholders.

The new commissioner already seems about 1000 times more attentive to the issues that matter than Scott, who basically let the conference rot for half a decade.

The guy was in charge of Entertainment & Sports for MGM. He knows where the big money is.
