I think we'll see a lot of cancelations through January, but at the rate omicron is spreading, there won't be enough hosts left for widespread outbreaks for much more than 4-6 weeks from now unless a major new variant spreads that is nearly as infectious but far more fatal, and if that happens (and I don't think it will), it will likely take a few months to emerge. 

Otherwise, while I have no idea how they will seed a tournament with 1/4 of a season having been canceled,  I do think by March we'll be past this and, hopefully, into the endemic stage of COVID-19.
