Interesting comment:  “Mills made progress toward his NFL goal during his final two seasons at Stanford, but his resume still looked incomplete. His decision to leave school early and enter the draft was a bit surprising, but Mills said the pandemic played role in his decision. The coronavirus protocols in Santa Clara County, he said, made him unsure if Stanford would have spring practice or an offseason that would allow him to keep improving.”

Sounded like Covid was, at the very least, the last straw. Made his decision far less agonizing, I'm sure.
