I see that we are in the top ten in several rankings. I’d love to start talking baseball.

Interesting that we're ranked so high. I'm bullish on the offense, even with the loss of three from our starting lineup. However, we have a lot to prove on the pitching front. Alex Williams is an All-American candidate (boy was he a stud late last year), but I don't believe there's really another pitcher who is bordering on stardom. Quinn Mathews is solid but has a ways to go before becoming a star. And, we had four freshmen last year who showed promise, but have even more to prove.

All that said, if the young pitchers develop over the course of the season, Stanford could have one of the top teams in the country before the playoffs begin. My two cents.
