Definitely read the article that follows, "Oregon Ducks women's basketball coach Kelly Graves addresses weekend exchange with Arizona Wildcats counterpart Adia Barnes," especially this part:

Barnes didn't specify what was said, but one of her players, Shaina Pellington, later tweeted that her coach was, "Cussed at ... in the most VULGAR ways the ENTIRE game by Kelly. We could hear it from the floor while PLAYING, in the most HOSTILE environment. He needs to be held accountable. Simple."

Is this something the referees should call a technical foul on?

It is covered by the rules (Rule 10, Art. 4 Bench Technical Fouls), along with using gestures.  Under the Points of Emphasis is Sporting Behavior/Conduct (which also specifically includes coaches going onto the playing court as improper).  While the refs seem to be gleefully ignore some of the rules as written (which is ALSO a point of emphasis), I find it hard to believe that a ref would ignore one coach using "VULGAR" language toward another coach or player.   If that happened, the refs should be reprimanded as well as the coach.

Did anyone WATCH/LISTEN the Adia Barnes press conference where she said the stuff that people are extracting quotes out of.  I did.  She sounds reasonable.  Her point was that the foul calls disrupted their momentum.  She did NOT say they were improper calls or that the calls were made unfairly.  She said her players need to adjust to the calls made by the officials.  She did include facts such as 23 FT for one team and 10 FT for the other team (IIRC).  She did say that a number of questionable calls went against her team.

That said, I didn't approve of her gesture last year (and, this year, if she did it again).  

Anyone notice that the PAC-12(and thus ESPN) is only showing replay of the final credited basket by Oregon vs Arizona without showing the feet of the rebounder/shooter?  The live video shows the foot on the line, but they zoomed in on the replay.

Just because officiating is hard doesn't mean that the officials' calls can't be pointed out.

I posted on this over in the Oregon/Arizona thread.  Barnes and Graves and the officials all come out of this looking terrible.
