Of course, if one adheres literally to the "unfair advantage" (or stated another way, "no harm, no foul") principle, the old-fashioned "and-one" three point play should not exist because there was no advantage to the defense or harm to the shooter (absent excessive contact warranting a flagrant foul call, but that is another issue), because, after all, the basket was made. :)
