Betts and Nivar named McD All Americans and will play in the McD game

Here are ESPN's little blurbs about them:

Lauren Betts:

"Betts is a 6-foot-7 post, the top center in the class, a two-time USA Basketball gold medalist and the youngest member of the 2021 U19 World Cup team. The 2021 Gatorade Colorado player of the year will bring a traditional inside presence to a Stanford program that has a history of post development and utilization in both the triangle and Princeton offense schemes."

Indya Nivar:

"Nivar's development over the past three years has been steady. A gifted guard with a strong frame and rise on her jumper, she has gotten more aggressive offensively over the past year. She can lead the offense and get others going, or she can be the focal point for clutch buckets. Stanford is getting a versatile perimeter player."

Great to hear re: Nivar. Both a good sign for her prospects to slide into the PG role next year, and also look forward to getting to see her play against the top HS girls. (Though I recall that Haley Jones had a terrible McD's game and it portended absolutely nothing whatsoever.)

With Wilson, the Hull twins and Hamilton most likely all gone after this season, we'll definitely need Nivar to step in and possibly make an immediate impact next year at the guard position.
