For sure. I am hopeful there's some possibility Lacie comes back so she, Jones, Van Gytenbeek, and the frosh can run point by committee. With Betts coming I actually think the most logical lineup by mid-season will be Some(Point-playing)Guard/Jones/Jump/Brink/Betts. Jones can still bring the ball up and initiate like she does, Jump at the wing, and two bigs (hopefully with Brink being more comfortable coming back out to the high post more).

Is it just me, or did it feel like we were desperate for reliable scoring bigs for what seems like ages, and now all of a sudden we find ourselves with the complete opposite problem?

at times, but in my memory, since 2000 we have more often been short of star point guards. for all-american bigs, we had the ogwumike sisters, jayne appel, nicole, kayla.  and at guard candice and maybe jeanette.
