I would be OK with a ~500 team if it was just more satisfying to watch.

So many possessions seem to feature one person dribbling forever.  Then eventually that person tries a 1 on 1 move that gets them to a bad part of the floor with either a bad shot or a bad pass as the only options.

I understand that every team will be in that situation a few times a game, but the Haase offense seems to rely on that type of static, unstructured play.   One might think with better talent this might work over the majority of the teams in the weak Pac-12, but Stanford has now landed a few very good players and the results have not been that much better with NBA first round level talent.

That noted, I have come to realize that Haase should be a motivational speaker after his coaching is complete.  Whatever he has been saying to keep his job could be bundled into a great seminar.

Hah! Good one. Thing is, there are a lot of motivational speakers out there. The former coaches among them have typically been the ones with big time credentials and charisma. Haase checks neither box.
