I’m with Spike.  Go to the bathroom, do your business, and don’t obsess over the gender (or for that matter sexual orientation) of anyone else who is there.

Using that reasoning - which has merit - means no need to change anything about traditional bathroom designations, right?  (Or is it only the non-trans population that needs to "do your business, and don't obsess over the gender . . . of anyone else who is in there.")
