1.  Even though they've traded multiple first round selections, they're quietly stockpiling picks.  They have nine picks this year and eight picks next year, and that's before they trade the NFL's #9 ranked QB.*  They lack a first round selection, but have one each in rounds two through six, and three seventh round selections.  Garoppolo will bring (my guess) a fourth round selection this year and a third rounder next year.  That's assuming no other players are involved in the trade.  And if the Niners lose more coaches and/or more players, they'll pick up more picks:

Not sure who said Baseball ownership is a poor investment.  Professional Sports franchises are incredibly valuable.
