Did anyone seriously think criminal charges would be filed? And btw, if a grand jury couldn't indict, then you know the criminal charges were thin (what's the saying . . . a grand jury can indict a ham sandwich?). I suspect the defense vigorously questioned any witnesses who testified, using the tried-and-true tactic of sullying the reputation of those witnesses. The good news is that all of this stuff should remain non-public.
Anyway, this has had the appearance of a move for a financial payout from the jump, which of course is not to diminish the (very probable) reality that D. Watson is a pig and a bad guy . . . just not a criminal pig and bad guy. Freaking 22 complainants . . . smh.
