Here's what I'd like to know -- how is a "standard" defensive alignment going to be defined, and how far can infielders meander from that alignment before it is dubbed a "shift?"

My guess is that there will be a requirement for two infielders to be on either side of second base until the pitcher releases it or the player makes contact.
