We win 78-37 as we cruise through the fourth quarter, playing all reserves.
All fifteen players got a chance to play in the game with twelve scoring. The raw stats don't jump out, as the high scorers were Jump, Lexie and Fran with 15, 13 and 12, respectively. They didn't need to be, as we dominated Montana State.
We started out incredibly strong shutting them out in the first quarter, and then basically shifted into cruise control for the rest of the game. We weren't perfect and had some errors.
What is notable as the announcers mentioned and Fran just alluded to, is that this is the first time, the junior class (Haley, Fran, Hannah & Ashten) is playing at Maples in the postseason. With the tournament being cancelled two years ago and everyone in San Antonio last year all tournament long, it was great that the Stanford faithful could watch the team play at home in the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2019.
