Story to Red Sox. 140 Million for 6 years.  Too rich for the Giants. Got to keep that payroll down.  

There are owners that are “ all in”.  Unfortunately, Johnson and Co. aren’t.

So, what I don’t want to see anymore is that the Giants are “in the mix” for anyone other than reclamation projects or short term deals for players hoping to have a big year and cash in. With some other team, of course. Because it’s abundantly clear, this ownership will not play in that market. Be nice to have owners “all in” - committed to winning, no matter the cost. But alas, we have a thrifty group. It will catch up. FA’s and their agents must know that the Giants won’t make the deal…. Unless, of course they can’t get a long term big money deal. Then they can come to the Giants for scraps.
