When you win your region in the NCAA's and continue onto the Final Four you celebrate and you don't shake the hands of the opposing team. It's been that way forever. Any trophy celebration victory you dog pile your team when the last whistle blows. 

The other teams knows it. Thats why the Stanford coaching staff went to shake the hands of the Texas players and a show of respect while the players celebrated.

I know that saying anything even remotely critical of Stanford - and particularly Stanford women's hoops - is taboo in these parts.
