Does UConn or South Carolina run a specific type of offensive scheme, like Tara does? I can't remember whether Geno or Dawn or other well-known coaches like Mulkey or McGraw are known to run a particular type.
If not, in general, since I am not immersed in the deep details of the x's and o's of strategy and tactics, why have a specific scheme, like the Princeton or triangle? Unless, I am not clear if there are names to the general offensive strategy other teams have beyond the Princeton and triangle.
It seems to me with the Princeton offense we have the last few years, if an opponent has the defensive players, they can prepare well for it and except for a couple opportunities a game where we can find the backdoor cut, we often had to resort to creating something one-on-one and that was something that showed up in the game last night.
