A recent ncaa projection had every Pac 9 team In The tournament except …Utah.

After getting swept by Oregon State at home, I would now argue Cal is closer to being
outside the tourney than Utah (though the Bears are certainly a bubble team like Utah).

Utah is a solid team, with an RPI coming into weekend of 42, so if they are .500 or better
with an RPI like that at the end of the season, I expect they will be in the tourney.

Given how tough they scheduled in non-conference, and how difficult the Pac is, the biggest
challenge will be staying above .500.

Stanford wins the Sunday contest and the series 1-0 behind
Alana Vawter's gem.

Cardinal do just enough this weekend to get the outcome they needed
and keep their push to the NCAA tourney on track.

However, Stanford is going to have to be better offensively;
Cardinal let too many opportunities go by today, in part maybe because
they took too many pitches and weren't aggressive enough at the plate.
