Yeah… the fact that this wasn’t Matthew’s first awesome week probably helped him with the national voters, but because he had already won PAC-12 pitcher of the week (twice), it may have hurt him with the pac-12 voters.  The award is supposed to be based solely on the reference week, but voters are likely influenced by other stuff.
