Could someone knowledgeable on the rules explain the ruling on the play in the 6th inning, just before Bowser's home run, when the UCLA catcher tried to throw the ball to third base trying to catch the runner trying to steal the base, but the throw hit Bowser's bat while he was standing in the batter's box, allowing the runner to score. The announcers seemed sure it was interference, but the call was no interference.

Rule 6.03 (a) (3) - A batter is out for illegal action when he interferes with the catcher’s fielding or throwing by stepping out of the batter’s box or making any other movement that hinders the catcher’s play at home base.

Bowser was a statue on that play. He was still. I guess the home plate umpire determined that Bowser had made no movement that could be judged as interference.
