Of course. When teams (such as Michigan at the turn of the century, Army during WWII) put up absurdly dominant results it's usually because of unusual circumstances that inflate the numbers to ridiculous proportions, and can't be compared to modern examples such as Georgia, Miami, Nebraska etc. who competed in actual competitive environments.
