I have no insider info but based on the last few weeks I believe someone other than Mathews will start. Most, if not all, of the arms in the bullpen are searching for confidence. The problems seem to magnify as the game grows later. Since Mathews has already thrown twice this weekend I think it would take an all hands on deck approach until at least the fifth or sixth inning to put Mathews in position to go the rest of the way. There is not a shortage of talent or options in the bullpen but in order for this team to compete in June, more reliable arms have to appear! 

(Naturally after a post like this we will have a 1-0 type game this afternoon)
