Darn, I just got back from lunch.  I missed the whole game.  I thought Allister made very good decisions in game 6; it just didn't work out.

The decision to steal home was good IMO because at the time it looked like one run might win it.  That play at home was really close.  I'm ok with the challenge review decision but it could have gone either way.

I also thought bringing Vawter into pitch in the sixth was good although that's when Alabama started scoring.

I think the decision to bring in Vawter in Game 6 paid dividends in the Game 7. It allowed her to figure out today's strike zone. It is tough to bring a starter in a high-pressure relief situation, but I think Coach Allister adeptly balanced rest (Vawter only threw 31 pitches in Game 6 vs. the 135 for Montana Fouts) with having her go into the Game 7 with some pitches, as well as a feel for the umpiring.

And in the end, as I hoped would happen, the deeper (particularly pitching staff, but lineup too) team won.
