That was in the 157th post in this thread.
This thread covered some of the pre-season, all conference games, and the post-season. Some WBB threads have 30 to 40 posts for one game. I hope it's clear I have become a fan of the team and the coach.
Women's Rowing got almost no attention here, lost the national title by a tie-breaker. 90 Director's Cup points.
Fencing got almost no attention here. 54 Director's Cup points.
For the 148 points from cross-country (M+W), there was a minimum of attention.
For the nearly 200 points from T&F (M+W x In+Out), there was relatively little attention.
Women's Field Hockey didn't get much attention.
Men's wrestling only got a little attention.
Men's swimming got relatively little attention, in my opinion.
I bet few people here knew that Artistic Swimming won its conference and finished second at its Nationals.
That's all ok by me. We follow what we want and we post what we want. If someone wants this board to feed them more than they find here, they should either go somewhere else (if such exists) or find a way to stir up interest. We've got some people who have a lot of knowledge and we're fortunate when they share that with us, whether it is about recruiting, history, other teams, or legal issues. We've got other people that have interest and contribute when they can.
Stanford Softball had a great season until the last two games. I know it exceeded everyone's expectation. The team, while sad for the end, should feel very proud of what they accomplished and should be looking for showing even more next year.
