Couldn’t this be a plausible scenario: she applied in time to the grad school(s) of her choice, but didn’t announce she was entering the portal until she knew she had been accepted in at least one of them. Now she knows; hence the announcement of her entry into the portal. But until completion of formalities making the grad transfer official, no public announcement of where she is going.

The one other reason this seems plausible is that Tara never leaves a scholarship unfilled, so if she added Papadaki but no one else, presumably she has a plan for one more commitment to come.
