Crazy that Troy’s regional would have been remarkable (fourth highest batting average ever) but for the fact that Park’s were .100 points better.  And then there is the fact that Park was 10 for 11 in the three elimination games.  Troy’s line was .600 (12/20), 8 R, 4 2B, 3 HR, 7 RBIs.

@Matt, I think it is useful to have both “Punch and Judy no power hitting” and lights out power on a lineup.  When your 6, 7, and 8 guys are tough outs, that makes it much harder on the opposing  pitchers, and its the sort of thing that leads to big innings.  I haven’t looked, but I wouldn’t be surprised if our big innings disproportionately start with the bottom of the order.

No doubt, big feature of the lineup and I think a big boost to Jones and Graham in setting the table for them for RBI opportunities. I especially like the tough out part you highlighted - Park and Crampton strike out the least of anybody in the lineup, so it's not like they're breathers for opposing pitchers. I do think it's clear they're the weak links in the lineup, but every lineup has those and they're quite good as far as bottom of the order guys go.
