I read the first few paragraph of that the other day and then stopped.  McEnroe was in my class, and I went to see him play inside Maples in our freshman year.  And as it turns out, that is all I ever really want to know about him.  One of the first "one-and-dones" at Stanford.

I overlapped with his brother Patrick, who helped deliver two national championships before graduating.
