Yeah, hopefully it is not another 2016. Maybe the Huskies will suffer a let down. Washington and U$C are good examples of how fast the transfer portal can take teams from zeros to heroes. Riley and Williams were clearly a package deal from OKLA.
Stanford has plenty of other problems, but the transfer rule is a massive hit. Stanford can’t compete on that front. Unless there is a big change in Admin. The chances of that are slim and none. And Slim just walked out through the transfer portal.
Yeah, I think the transfer portal pretty much guarantees that mediocrity is about as well as we are going to do at this level of competition.
Hopefully I will be proven wrong some day.
