I think I read somewhere that our only transfer, Patrick Fields, went through the normal application process to grad school, was accepted, then approached the athletic department about football. That sounds implausible; anybody know how involved the football staff was in his coming to the Farm?

According to him...zero. But quien sabe?

He completed his accounting degree in December of his senior year and was accepted into Stanford’s MS&E program — and, as a graduate school applicant to Stanford, Fields wasn’t recruited by Stanford’s football program during the application.
